The Crestative Families are powerful families which do not yet have direct votes of power in The Diveneu Council. These families are often skilled in politics, trade, and war with eachother for scraps of power to hopefully one day become Crested. They often own districts, manage political organizations, or own large portions of The Copper District.

The The Crestative Families are designated as such when they are able to put their House Banner in The Crestative Square with the blessing of one Crested Family to endorse them.

The Duergar Clan

The Duergar are ambitious dwarves who control The Under-Diven. Their claim to power was determined by an agreement which ended The Stone War and gained them a seat at Council.

The Gravesbones Family

The Gravesbones created and maintained The Catacombs, their respect for the dead elevated them to a seat at Council, enabling them to become a Crested Family.

The Copper Pockets Family

The Copper Pockets are a Gnome family which is the head of The Copper District. Being the controllers of the main commerce hub, their position at Council was only a matter of time.

The Serpentin Clan

A former Crested, this dwarven Clan fell from grace and was destroyed during The Stone War when both sides learned they were profiting from selling deadly toxins and weapons to rivaling families, with no allies to fall back on, they were hunted down and their estate was destroyed in a single night.

This elven family controlled a profitable trade route through The Diven Mountain Range by a path on Mt. Faen. Their family was destroyed by The Copper Pockets and The Goldcrowe Family in a trade war.

The Yellthorne Family

A former group of druidic gnomes, once determined on keeping a balance between nature and city, eventually were driven out by The Palestone Bloodline in their plans to expand the ShatterSteppe District.

The Onyxbone Family

This family of tieflings which once was the most prized family of doctors in the city. They mysteriously fell apart due to infighting and a series of events which led to the entire family either moving away from the city, fleeing to Pydnetta or Phericea. Or ending up dead in the streets.

The Kinslam Family

The Kinslams are Tokonites who were the primary caretakers of The Crypt of Tokon. Their blind following of religion allowed them to slip from power, now a relic of a their former selves.

The Goldcrowe Family

A family of Aarakocra, they run the largest banks in The Copper District, their banks formerly owned by The Copper Pockets, the Goldcrowe’s have been steadily gaining power in the absence of the Copper Pockets directly running their banks.

The Sapphistle Family

A devout human family that maintains the Solam Bells throughout Diveneu. Each morning, they ensure the iron bells rings with clarity and proper tones for each Dae. Their deep knowledge of Time Keeping and The Panath are an essential role in the towns daily worshop, which has earned them significant respect. Though their humble nature keeps them from overtly seeking greater political power.

The Shadowbind Family

A secretive Tiefling family of Tokonites who operate the city’s underworld. They run prison systems, interrogation services, and coordinate illicit trade networks. Their understanding of suffering and perseverance makes them both feared and respected.

The Swiftquile Family

A family of half-elves who established and maintain The Papersteppe Post. A network of ground-based messengers connects not only the various districts of Diveneu, but also maintains steady communication with other cities across Aurelin. Their speed and reliability have made them indispensable to trade and politics in the region.

The Ikot Family

This Kobold family serves as the city’s official record keepers and document authenticators. They maintain the legal contracts between families, serve as stenographers for both The Diveneu Council and the general Court proceedings as well as operate The Ikotine Library.

The Sanron Family

This mixed-race family founded and operates The Sanron Company They organize expeditions, maintain bounty boards, provide insurance for dangerous ventures, and provide connections for adventuring parties to the Crestative and Crested families needs and desires.

The Wanderstone Family

This half-orc family barters in information. Their contacts within both The Sanron Family and The Crested Families serve as valuable tools for adventurers, and those planning political action. Their services are typically not cheap, either costing a vast fortune, or debts that rarely can be repaid. They also serve as protectors of information, extorting families who have secrets they need kept from scrying eyes.

The Torken Family

This Tortle family deals in magical creature butchery. Often a second stop after visiting The Sanron Company, adventurers sell their kills here to be cut down into useful ingredients for spells, delicious exotic meats. This family also acts as a middle-man between nobles wanting exotic pets and adventurers who capture those beasts.

The Dawnbringer Family

A family of mixed humanoid races who worship Vordekael. They organize seasonal festivals, operate the training grounds, and many of them serve as physical trainers for the other Crested and Crestative families’ children.

The Kelmin Family

This gnomish family specializes in cutting and setting the precious stones mined by The Bismuth Clan. Their artistry transforms raw materials into works of art, jewelry and magical focuses. They operate the most prestigious jewelry shops in The Copper District.

The Brandyfoot Family

A halfling family which owns largest share of the city’s brewing and distilling operations. Their central tavern The Brewmaster’s Barrel is a frequent spot for adventurers, nobles, commoners, and more

The Rootward Family

A halfling family devoted to Eiselken, they tend the sacred groves within the city and maintain the memorial gardens in The Catacombs. Their expertise in preservation magic and earth based rituals makes them valuable allies to The Gravesbones Family.

The Thelmsvend Family

This elven family dominates the textile trade, both importing raw silk from from Phericea, refining into many necessary, useful, and magical threads, and exporting across Aurelin. They also run a shop named The Threadweaver Consortium in The Copper Pocket.
